1:11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of ¹  all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

2:1 For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you, ²  and for those in Laodicea, and for those who have not met me face to face. ³

4:13 For I can testify that he has worked hard ⁴  for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

[1:11]  ¹ tn The expression “for the display of” is an attempt to convey in English the force of the Greek preposition εἰς (eis) in this context.

[2:1]  ² tn Or “I want you to know how hard I am working for you…”

[2:1]  ³ tn Grk “as many as have not seen my face in the flesh.”

[4:13]  ⁴ tn Grk “pain.” This word appears only three times in the NT outside of this verse (Rev 16:10, 11; 21:4) where the translation “pain” makes sense. For the present verse it has been translated “worked hard.” See BDAG 852 s.v. πόνος 1.
